The amazing Madhabpur Lake is situated in the middle of the high mountains all around. You must be impressed observing the transparent water of the lake, beautiful surroundings and the presence of water lily in the lake. It is located in the Patrokhola Tea Garden of Madhabpur Union under Kamalganj upazila of Moulvibazar district. This pleasant lake is situated 40 kilometers away from Maulvibazar and 15 kilometers away from Srimangal.
The lake is truly wonderful. You have to go to the lake through the roads on the tea garden. The stunning beauty of tea gardens in Sylhet can also be enjoyed here. You have to walk on the zigzag roads on the mountain while going to the lake. In winter, huge amount of migratory birds come here in this lake. These migratory birds increase the beauty of the lake. On the both sides of the lake, there are many tea plants that create an awesome beauty of the nature.
Tea-garden authorities have made a narrow path for walking around the lake. There is a tent made of tall haystack beside the lake. The water, hills and tea-gardens – all these together in the forest of Madhabpur make a wild solitude.
The tea garden authority allows visitors to stay in the lake area till 6 pm. You'll have to leave the area by 6 pm.
Martyr Hamidur Rahman's memorial is located about five to six kilometers away from Madhabpur Lake. You may have a visit to the memorial also if you come to visit Madhabpur Lake.
