Sundarbans is the largest mangrove forest in the world. It extends across the Khulna, Satkhira, Bagerhat, Patuakhali, and Barguna districts of Bangladesh. The Sundarbans literally means in Bengali - beautiful forest. But the Sundarbans may have been named after the Sundori tree as well, which grows abundantly there.

Here you can enjoy the monkey's screaming, and chirping of the birds and peacocks, folks of deer, howl, owls, bees, and the roar of the famous Royal Bengal Tiger. There are also 330 species of trees, 270 species of birds, 14 species of reptiles, 42 species of wild animals and 32 species of shrimp, and of 200 species of fish found in Sundarbans. I along with some of my friends visited Sundarbans back in 2002. We hired an engine-boat from Mongla port and went deep inside the forest. The natural view was breathtaking. We spent the whole day roaming through the Canals of Sundarbans and came back in the evening.
