Khulna Divisional Museum is located in the center of Khulna city in Sonadanga Majid Sorani, on the roundabout at Shib Bari. When you enter the museum, you will find many pictures of the Liberation War of Bangladesh arranged beside the leading upstairs. On the first floor, you’ll find hundreds of years old Shiva Statue, and old-time household materials like utensils, ornaments, tools, etc, which were used by ancient landlords.

There are also several inscriptions. Many of the inscriptions’ meaning has already been recovered. This museum was established in 1998. In the last ten years, the museum has become popular for its collections and gathering of knowledge. The museum is decorated differently on various occasions and festivals.

The museum has also taken several steps to attract visitors. The employees of the museum welcome the children with gifts like paper flowers, chocolate, stickers, and many others. Children can enter the museum without tickets on holidays.

The museum is maintained by the National Museum and the Department of Archaeology of Bangladesh. It is the third-largest museum in Bangladesh in terms of volume. Various archaeological relics, found in various places in the country, especially in Jhenaidah's Barabazar, Bharat Bhayana of Jessore are being displayed in this museum. The museum has a hall room also, where many cultural events are arranged throughout the year.
