Naogaon is a district of lots of historic monuments. One of them is Vimer Panti. It is also known as Vim's Stick of Koibarto Raja, Gorur Stombho, or Vimer Lathi. It is located near the Hargoudi temple of Mukundpur village. This 11 feet (3.5 meters) high black stone column was built by the regime of king Narayan Paal Deba more than a thousand years ago (836-920 AD). It was initially farther tall and there was a bird's statue placed on top of it. However, the statue along with some parts of the column got destroyed due to thunderstrike. There is a 28 line poem inscribed in Sanskrit at the bottom portion of Vimer Panti that praises king Narayan Paal Deba.
