This natural lake is located in Nunchari village in Khagrachari. It is situated above 500 meters of the sea level. The local name of this lake is Matai Pukhri. The indigenous Tripura tribes believe that this pond never gets dry and does not become dirty, so this pond is called Matai Pukhari or Deity Pond.
